Samsung Rolls Out One UI 9 Update for Galaxy S26 Phones

Samsung has started distributing its One UI 9 software update to Galaxy S26 handsets, according to العربية, which described the release as the largest software update the phones have received this year. The rollout was reported on Wednesday, September 16, 2026.

Coverage of the update appeared across several regional technology outlets on the same day. فيتو also reported that Samsung launched One UI 9 for Galaxy S26 devices, matching العربية's account of the release.

The broader One UI 9 rollout extends beyond Samsung's newest flagship line. According to عالم التقنية, Samsung has released a second beta build of One UI 9.0 for the Galaxy S24 FE, and that test version includes new artificial intelligence features. Separate coverage from Samsung Magazine examined the status of One UI 9 on the Galaxy S25, outlining which capabilities are already available to users and which remain pending.

Another report, from Vietnam.vn, listed a number of Samsung Galaxy devices expected to receive an One UI 9.5 update in the near future. That report did not specify a release timeline.

The reports together indicate that Samsung is moving One UI 9 through both stable and beta channels at the same time, with the Galaxy S26 receiving the finished release while older models such as the Galaxy S24 FE remain in testing.

What to watch next: whether Samsung confirms a full schedule for One UI 9.5 and publishes a complete list of Galaxy devices eligible for the update.
